Rolf Penner- Hello! And welcome to my CWB election blog.
I love the Internet, I love how it has enabled everyone to have a voice through blogs like this one. I love how you can instantly check prices at different elevators or look up economic studies. I love how I can make my case directly to people like you using every kind of communication there is, audio, video, charts and graphs and the written word. It truly is a liberating technology. Be sure to come back to visit often. I’m going to do my best to have new material up on this blog for you to check out every single day of the campaign.
Let me start by saying I’m a 41 year old farmer from Morris, Manitoba who thinks that its time to change
how we do business with the Canadian Wheat Board. I think it’s time we made it voluntary, I think its time Western Canadian farmers had the same right to sell their own grain as the farmers in the east.

I think its time that wheat board directors put FARMERS FIRST. I think that if farmers want to continue marketing their grain through the CWB that they should be allowed to do so, but that below average pool returns are unacceptable. Things need to improve and competition will insure that it does.
