2008 CWB producer survey

According to the June 2008 CWB survey   

57 % of Western farmers favour either a dual market or an open market over the single desk for wheat.

In Manitoba it was 58%  

67% of Western farmers favour either a dual market or an open market over the single desk for barley.

67% of Western farmers either stronly or moderately agree that If the CWB is a good marketer of wheat and barley, it should have no trouble surviving in a dual market environment? 

In Manitoba it was 68%

Rolf Penner- It’s clear that the majority of farmers want choice, if elected I will give them that choice.

 The total sample yields a margin of error of +/- 2.68

• Margin of error in Alberta +/- 5.14
• Margin of error in Saskatchewan +/- 3.55
• Margin of error in Manitoba +/- 6.79
